My name is John Cowgill. I enjoy watching trains. This site is about my journeys on the railroads and stories of the history of trains as well as the stories of those who give their time to keeping the trains running and keeping the history of historic railroads alive for the many generations to come. I am a photographer as well as a writer. I wrote for the DC Examiner for five years and was known as the DC Railroad Examiner. I welcome you to join me on my railroad journeys.
